Every journey to parenthood is unique. For some, the path is smooth and straightforward, while for others it is filled with questions, concerns, and requires personalized support.
Whether you need guidance in this life project of becoming a parent or are trying to identify medical reasons that may be delaying your dream of parenthood, Prenato is here for you.
Please note that we are not a fertility clinic and do not offer assisted reproductive services such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) or insemination.
This service is designed for individuals planning to become pregnant soon and who wish to prepare in a thoughtful and informed way.
During this consultation, you will meet with a nurse who will take the time to assess your medical history, lifestyle habits, and discuss various factors that may impact your fertility and the beginning of your pregnancy. The goal of this meeting is to provide personalized support, practical advice, and valuable information to promote an optimal start to your pregnancy.
You will be able to get clear answers to your questions and gain a better understanding of the steps before and after conception.
During the consultation, we will cover:
No prescription is required for this service.
This service is intended for individuals who have been trying to conceive unsuccessfully or who have a history of recurrent miscarriages (more than two).
During your initial consultation, our medical team will conduct a detailed evaluation of your medical history, family background, and lifestyle. Specialized tests for the couple may be recommended to identify any underlying medical conditions that could affect fertility or lead to pregnancy loss, if applicable.
Based on this assessment, certain treatments may be proposed, such as starting specific medications to regulate the menstrual cycle, stimulate ovulation, or address other factors that may impact fertility. These treatments are tailored to each patient to maximize the chances of natural conception.
However, in cases where initial treatments prove insufficient, a referral to a fertility clinic may be suggested. More advanced options, such as assisted reproductive technologies or intrauterine insemination, are then available.
Criteria to qualify for a fertility assessment are:
Couples in which one partner has a chromosomal abnormality, a known health condition that may affect fertility, or where the woman is around 40 years old or older, should be referred directly to a fertility clinic.
We offer several ultrasound services that will be prescribed during your fertility journey:
Prenato can perform the blood tests prescribed during your fertility journey to help evaluate your fertility.
In partnership with Prenato, Genolife offers a telehealth genetic counselling service that can meet your needs in the area of preconception and fertility. In addition to assessing the genetic risks for your future children based on your medical and family history, private genetic testing is also available to reduce these risks.
In particular, the expanded carrier screening test allows you to find out if you are at risk of passing on a severe genetic condition to your future children by analyzing more than 500 genes that you could carry without knowing it.
