Viability ultrasound
The purpose of a viability ultrasound is to check that the pregnancy is progressing normally and to ensure that the embryo is developing properly in the uterus (and not outside of it, as in the case of an ectopic pregnancy).
Eligibility criteria:
– History of miscarriage
– History of ectopic pregnancy
The ultrasound can be performed from the 7th week of pregnancy.

Dating ultrasound
In addition to confirming the viability and location of the pregnancy, a dating ultrasound can determine the gestational age and estimate the expected date of delivery based on certain measurements taken of your baby.
The ultrasound can be performed from the 8th week of pregnancy.
*Contraindications to the teleconsultation service for obtaining a prescription:
– Having had even a single episode of bright red bleeding since the beginning of pregnancy.
– Having had pink or brownish discharge for more than 24 hours since the beginning of pregnancy.
– Experiencing constant and increasing abdominal pain.
– Having already had an ultrasound for the current pregnancy.
– Having been refused an ultrasound by your pregnancy care provider during a consultation with them.
